The Purple Comet! Math Meet remains a FREE competition administered and supported by AwesomeMath. The competition is FREE in order to encourage participation by teams from across the globe and to facilitate spontaneous participation by any teams with an interest in mathematics.

It costs on the order of $12,000 (US) each year to offer the Purple Comet! Math Meet .
The major expenses include

advertising

computer resources

contest website maintenance

proofreading and translating contest problems

the 24/7 support line that keeps the contest running smoothly.

Your financial support can go a long way toward helping to cover these costs and keep the contest FREE. Contributions of just $2 per student, $5 per team, a flat $10, $20, $30, $40, or any other amount from those who can afford to give can add up to cover much of the contest expenses. In particular, we encourage all supervisors who can afford to do so to make a small annual donation to the Purple Comet! Math Meet and become a supporting participant. Upon request we can provide an invoice stating the amount we received from you as payment for being a supporting participant in the contest.
